The Daily Cardinal?s 120th Anniversary Celebration

Overture Center for the Arts, Madison
From the destruction by fire of the dome of Bascom Hall in 1916 to Wisconsin?s latest Rose Bowl appearance, the Cardinal has always shown the University of Wisconsin and the city of Madison its true face, and this exhibit features the work of decades of award-winning Cardinal photographers covering news, sports, arts and entertainment. Curated by former Cardinal photo editor and freelance photojournalist Christopher Guess.
Hors d?oeuvres and cash bar. Prints on display will be auctioned at the Cardinal?s Saturday Night Gala to benefit the Cardinal?s scholarship funds. Open to the public. Admission is $25.
PANEL: Pulitzer Prize winners
Friday, April 27, 1-3 p.m.
UW-Madison?s Fluno Center, 601 University Ave.
Milwaukee native and former AP photographer Neal Ulevich will participate in a panel discussion with other Pulitzer Prize winners. Ulevich is the 1977 winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography for ?for a series of photographs of disorder and brutality in the streets of Bangkok.?
