Woolworths South Africa has chosen RedPrairie's workforce management solution (WFM) to help improve the customer experience in-store.

RedPrairie said that its WFM solution will use point of sale data to generate accurate forecasting and improve compliance with optimised schedules.

With the help of solution, managers will have visibility of key performance indicators and tools to manage performance.

Woolworths South Africa head of IT business applications Adrian Gebers said that the company is constantly improving its information technology to enhance customer service and productivity.

"The implementation of RedPrairie's workforce management system will play a big part in that process," Gebers said.

RedPrairie senior vice president Andrew Kirkwood said, "The performance management capabilities of our workforce solution will enable Woolworths to better serve its customers by more efficiently managing its workforce."

RedPrairie's Enterprise Workforce Management offers a common set of performance-based tools to support corporate management, frontline supervisors, store managers and workers throughout manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and retail operations.
