[Women's Golf] Kohawks third after first day of Buena Vista Invite

STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Coe College women's golf team opened the season Friday at the Buena Vista Invite at Lake Creek Country Club. ?After the first round, the Kohawks are third in the four team field with a 393.

Junior Kayla Koschmeder (Readlyn, Iowa/Wapsie Valley) led the way for the Kohawks on the opening day of the season. ?She fired a 93 and is tied for ninth. ?Junior Chelsea Crain (Indianola, Iowa/Indianola) is just two strokes behind Koschmeder, as she is tied for 11th with a 95 on the opening round.

Junior Amber Suhr (Readlyn, Iowa/Wapsie Valley) shot a 102 for 18th place, while sophomore Tarissa Hagenow (Readlyn, Iowa/Wapsie Valley) is tied for 19th with a 103. ?Freshman Addlyn Joss (Woodburn, Iowa/Clarke) rounded out the Kohawk scoring with a 129, sitting in 24th.

Central leads the team scoring with a 342, while Simpson is second with a 347. ?Buena Vista is fourth with a 405. ?Central's Taylor Hill leads the field with a 76 after the first day.

The final out of the event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.
