Massachusetts Has Third Lowest Obesity Rate In The - Len Saunders
From Bostinno?..
It?s raining out, sure, but that won?t stop you from your daily run will it? Of course not, because you live in Massachusetts, the state with the third lowest obesity rate in the country. It?s true that more than a third of Americans (35.7%) are obese, but according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the rate in Massachusetts is only 22.7%, behind only Hawaii (21.8%) and Colorado (20.7%).
The data, reflective of the United States in 2011, shows that Massachusetts only got better since 2010, when we were still pretty fit, but not within the top 5. Don?t pat yourself on the back too quickly because the study adds that numbers are incomparable given the fact that criteria for accumulating data had changed. So maybe we got fatter?

The criteria for measuring might have changed and made comparing statistics year over year a moot point, but don?t tell Mississippi. This is their sixth straight year in a row as the fattest state, officially cementing itself as the greatest dynasty in the history of deep fried disappointment.
