Cleveland Browns hire Rob Chudzinski as new head coach

According to published reports out of Cleveland Thursday night, the Browns have hired former offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinksi as the 14th full-time coach in franchise history.

?Last season Chudzinski, who interviewed with the Browns on Wednesday, was the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers.

Chudzinski first stop in Cleveland was with fellow former Hurricane coach Butch Davis as tight ends coach in 2004, and served as interim offensive coordinator in 2004 after Davis resigned. He coached the Chargers tight ends - including All-Pro Antonio Gates - in 2005 and 2006, and then returned to Cleveland as offensive coordinator in 2007 and 2008 under Romeo Crennel.
